Michaela Masui - Fall 2022

I would like to express my gratitude for your generous scholarship to support my study abroad experience in Japan. Since my arrival in September, I have enjoyed my time as a Waseda University student. I have made new friends, explored fun places, and learned so much.

I have gone to so many beautiful places around Japan, like Nikko and Kamakura. My program includes group trips which have been fun to experience with other program students. I also have time for myself to do what I enjoy. I love going to Japanese themed cafes which serve such cute food. The food is quite expensive, but I love taking pictures of the food! I also recently went to Tokyo Disneyland with my friend for the Christmas season. It was very beautiful, and I think my new favorite ride is the Beauty and the Beast ride.

I am currently looking forward to my winter break, so I can have a break from all my schoolwork. I will also be preparing to move out of my dorm and move to another place in January. I look forward to making more memories and experiencing more things during my study abroad. I am grateful for this opportunity of a lifetime and appreciate your support.
