Ibrahim Al-Ramahi - Fall 2022

I am sincerely grateful to have been selected as recipient of the Bridging scholarship. I would not have been able to study abroad in Japan if I was not chosen to be a Bridging Scholar, and studying abroad has proven to be a truly life altering experience. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic I have taken most of my classes online since High School, but studying in Japan has felt like the transition to adulthood I have been waiting for. 

Since coming to Japan I have transformed as an individual. I have become a much more confident person, I am in the best shape of my life, and I have met so many incredible people who have taught me so many new things. I have picked up many hobbies such as cooking and photography, and I have even taken to hiking up Japan’s beautiful mountains. Please enjoy my photographs of my time in Japan. I am tremendously excited to see what is waiting for me during my next semester studying in Tokyo! 

I am not sure if I can ever truly express my gratitude in words, but from the bottom of my heart thank you for changing my life.
